Rolex, the official timekeeping sponsor, celebrates the 100th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the release of the new anniversary Daytona model 126529LN in June, featuring a Paul Newman dice face on the dial and a ceramic bezel with the number "100" in red in tribute to the race. "The 126529LN It is the second Ditonne in the current line of Ditonnes, after the platinum Aquamarine, to have a movement with a transparent caseback. Le Mans is an endurance race for racing cars. The Le Mans circuit is in France, and the 24-hour endurance race involves racing cars for 24 hours in a row, and the winner is determined by which car has the most laps in 24 hours. The winner is the car that has done the most laps in 24 hours. A race car with 3 drivers takes turns. The race started in 1923 and will be 100 years old in 2023. Rolex is a partner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (official timekeeper), so Rolex is commemorating the 100th anniversary by launching a "Special Edition" of the Ditonner 126529. The 4132 calibre of the "Special Commemorative Edition" Ditoner is actually a small modification of the 4131 calibre. The 12-hour counter at 9 o'clock on the dial of the 4130/4131 calibre has been replaced by a 24-hour counter. This is to correspond to the 24-hour duration of the Le Mans endurance race. Because of this small change, the new number 4132 was used. Due to the small number of pieces produced and its special character, it is bound to become a highly sought-after collector's item.
