The modified Daytona is coated with luminous material on the bezel and dial, which emits a super conspicuous neon green color in the dark.
1. Bezel
The bezel has been replaced with a retro bakelite finish and filled with luminous material provided by Billight®. The design of the tachometer scale has also been readjusted, including the font and scale shape, which are different from the original factory. It also has a reminder for the tachometer measurement results. The words "UNITS PER HOUR" have also been moved to the 3 o'clock direction.
2. Faceplate
As mentioned before, Artisans de Genève uses a whole piece of sapphire crystal to make the dial. However, a large area of the dial is covered with luminous material inserts, leaving only the edge of the dial and three small dials exposed, making the open-face design vaguely visible. At the same time, the modified watch brand also changed the small dial scale into a "Paul Newman"-style small square shape, thus strengthening the retro personality of the watch.
The transparent bottom cover reveals the massively hollowed-out 4130 movement, while the "X" on the hollowed-out rotor is also coated with luminous material.
